By using Kontours, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the game.
Kontours is still growing, so some features may change, move, or be removed as we test and improve the experience.
What Kontours Is
Kontours is a browser-based visual puzzle game where players reveal contour drawings, make guesses, play different game modes, and may compare or share results.
You may use Kontours for personal, non-commercial enjoyment, subject to these Terms.
Eligibility
You may use Kontours only if you are legally allowed to agree to these Terms. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you should use Kontours with permission from a parent or guardian.
Junior Kontours is designed as a kid-friendly experience, but children should not submit personal information through guesses, feedback forms, usernames, or other inputs.
Gameplay, Guesses, and Results
Kontours may collect and use gameplay activity such as guesses, correct or incorrect answers, game mode, puzzle progress, streaks, and results to run the game, improve puzzle difficulty, tune accepted answers, and develop future features.
By submitting guesses, player names, feedback, bug reports, pack ideas, or other text, you give Kontours permission to use that content to operate, improve, display, moderate, and promote the game.
For example, wrong guesses may be used in result screens, share cards, aggregate statistics, or future features such as “common wrong guesses.” Please do not submit personal, sensitive, hateful, or inappropriate information.
Accounts, Player Names, and Leaderboards
Kontours may currently allow play without an account. If accounts, player names, leaderboards, remote rooms, or public results are added, you are responsible for the information you provide.
Do not choose a player name or submit content that is offensive, misleading, impersonates someone else, invades privacy, or violates the rights of others.
We may remove, hide, or change usernames, guesses, scores, leaderboard entries, or other content if we believe they are inappropriate, abusive, misleading, generated unfairly, or harmful to the game experience.
Puzzle Packs, Digital Items, and Purchases
Kontours may offer free or paid puzzle packs, coins, subscriptions, digital items, or physical products in the future.
If paid features are added, prices, access rules, refunds, and purchase terms will be shown at or before purchase. Purchases handled by a payment processor, app store, or third-party platform may also be subject to that provider’s terms and policies.
We may change, add, remove, rename, rebalance, or update packs, puzzles, prices, modes, scoring systems, and features over time.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Kontours to:
- Cheat, exploit bugs, or manipulate results
- Use bots, scripts, scrapers, or automated gameplay
- Reverse-engineer, copy, scrape, or misuse the game code, assets, or puzzle data
- Interfere with the game, servers, hosting, database, rooms, or other users
- Attempt unauthorized access to systems, accounts, data, or infrastructure
- Circumvent content restrictions, payment systems, or access controls
- Submit hateful, harassing, sexual, threatening, illegal, spammy, or otherwise inappropriate content
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your relationship with Kontours
- Use Kontours for commercial purposes without permission
Intellectual Property
Kontours, including its name, logo, interface, puzzles, artwork, game modes, text, code, design, and other content, is owned by Kontours or its licensors unless otherwise stated.
You may not copy, reproduce, sell, redistribute, modify, scrape, or create derivative works from Kontours content without permission.
Sharing official score cards, game links, screenshots, or results for personal and social purposes is allowed and encouraged, as long as you do not misrepresent ownership, remove branding, or use them commercially without permission.
Third-Party Services and Links
Kontours may use third-party services for hosting, database storage, fonts, analytics, payments, email, social media, or other features. Those services may have their own terms and privacy policies.
Kontours may also link to third-party websites or social media pages. We are not responsible for third-party content, policies, or practices.
Availability and Changes
Kontours is provided on an evolving basis. Features may be experimental, incomplete, delayed, changed, interrupted, or removed.
We do not guarantee that Kontours will always be available, error-free, secure, or compatible with every device, browser, network, or operating system.
No Warranty
Kontours is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim warranties of any kind, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and uninterrupted operation.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Kontours and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost scores, lost streaks, lost access, service interruptions, device issues, or other damages arising from use of the game.
Termination or Restriction of Access
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to Kontours if we believe a user has violated these Terms, abused the game, cheated, harmed other users, attempted unauthorized access, or created legal, security, or operational risk.
Privacy
Your use of Kontours is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what information we collect and how we use it.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as Kontours changes. If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Kontours after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
